Boats and Floats! Summer Season is Here!

We are now in June, and although here in England we are not known for the most ideal weather, for us it marks the beginning of the Great British Summer! I can’t wait to spend some quality time on the beach and along the beautiful Kentish coast in a Poppy dress(…or ten!)Its time to crack out the suncream, dig out those sunglasses and Pop on a Poppy dress and go on an adventure of your own!

One of our many beautiful collections labelled boats and floats, is all about Poppy and her dog Fred’s sea adventure. It also makes the perfect Poppy dress for my own seaside adventures when I wear my Joan dress around my costal home town of Whitstable. Whenever I wear my Poppy dress around Whitstable (and especially through the harbour!) I will receive such lovely compliments, because the dress is so unique and different from the usual summer styles you see. I always make sure to tell everyone the story behind each dress I am wearing so they can understand why I really do feel so special in what I wear, the fact each dress tells a story and has been lovingly hand illustrated by Bryony.

This particular print Poppy dress is one of my summer classics, and is so easy to whizz on and off for a quick dip in the sea! All our Poppy dresses are 100% cotton and perfect for popping in the washing machine when I accidentally juggle an ice-cream! I love how my Joan dress can also be dressed up after a day on the beach for an evening of Pinot in the local seaside Pub!

If you have any pictures or you in one of our boats and floats dresses, us Poppy girls would love to see! Or even your favourite summer Poppy dress…
